Cookie Policy
Effective date: 7 October 2026
Short answer
This site sets no cookies and uses no similar tracking technology. The only things that happen when you visit are a standard access log kept by our host and a font request to Google.
What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store, so the site can recognise your browser on a later visit. Cookies can be set by the site you're on (first-party) or by other services embedded in it (third-party).
"Similar technologies" means other ways of storing or recognising information about your browser: web storage such as localStorage and sessionStorage, tracking pixels (tiny invisible images that report a visit), and fingerprinting, which identifies a browser from its combination of settings.
What this site does
Bright Idea sets no cookies. There are no first-party cookies and no third-party cookies, and we don't let anyone else set cookies through this site. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, no social media embeds, no video embeds and no session identifiers.
Why there's no cookie banner
A cookie banner asks for your consent to cookies. There is nothing here to consent to, so showing one would suggest something that isn't true.
What happens instead
Two things happen when you load a page, and neither involves a cookie.
- Access logs. Our hosting provider records standard request details, including your IP address, and keeps them for 30 days, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts. Your browser requests the site's typefaces from Google, which sends your IP address to Google. The font service is not used to set cookies on this site. Google's handling is described in Google's Privacy Policy.
No other storage or tracking
The site doesn't use localStorage, sessionStorage or IndexedDB. It doesn't fingerprint browsers and contains no tracking pixels. The small script on the site only opens the menu on narrow screens and expands the question-and-answer sections; it stores nothing.
After you click an affiliate link
When you follow a link to the Crossout website, you leave this site. The Crossout website and the affiliate network that operates the link may set their own cookies on their own domains to record that your visit was referred by Bright Idea. KUSIV s.r.o. doesn't control those cookies. Check the cookie notices on those websites to see what they set and how to manage it.
How you can check this for yourself
You do not have to take our word for it. Every major browser includes developer tools, usually opened with a key such as F12, that list the cookies and storage a page has used. Open them on any page of this site and the cookie and storage lists will be empty. The same tools show every outside request a page makes; here, the only ones are to Google's font services.
We mention this because a cookie policy is easy to write and hard to verify, and the version that matches reality should be the one you can confirm in a minute.
Blocking or clearing cookies
Every major browser lets you see, block and delete cookies, usually in its privacy or security settings. You can also use a private or incognito window, which normally discards cookies when you close it. Blocking cookies won't affect how this site works, because it doesn't use them, though it may affect other sites you visit.
If this ever changes
If we ever introduce cookies, we'll update this page first, and a working consent mechanism will be in place before any cookie is set.
