About Bright Idea

Bright Idea is a decision guide for people in Australia choosing a free-to-play online game for their PC. It is organised around the questions worth answering before you register anywhere: whether a game will run on your computer, whether your connection can keep up, what you might be asked to pay for, how to keep an account safe, and what families should check.

It's an informational website. It isn't the website of any game, developer or publisher, and it doesn't sell or distribute games.

Who publishes it

Bright Idea is published by KUSIV s.r.o., a company registered in the Czech Republic.

How we decide what to cover

To be plain about it: the only product this site describes in detail is Crossout, and it's there because KUSIV s.r.o. has a paid affiliate arrangement covering it. We don't claim to review the whole market of online games, and we haven't tested or ranked other titles. If we add another product, it will be because we can describe it accurately, and any commercial relationship will be disclosed in the same way.

The general guidance on this site, about hardware, connections, spending, accounts and families, applies to any online game and is written to be useful whether or not you choose the product we describe. We'd rather you decided against it with good information than signed up and regretted it.

What we say about Crossout comes only from the vendor's own summary and the terms of the affiliate offer. Where those don't cover something, such as system requirements or classification, we say so and point you to where you can check. General statements about regulation and safety link to the government body responsible.

We review pages periodically and update the "Last reviewed" date in the footer when we do. If you spot something wrong or out of date, email info@brightidea.online and we'll check it.

How the site is paid for

Links to the Crossout website are paid affiliate links. When a reader follows one and registers, confirms their email address and logs in, KUSIV s.r.o. receives a commission from the affiliate network that runs the link. Readers pay nothing extra. Our Affiliate Disclosure explains the arrangement in full.
